Post-NCECA
Giant Pitfire Party

Come celebrate the clay & fire with ceramists from all over the world after attending the NCECA conference here in San Diego ( or even if you didn’t ). We will begin around 2 p.m. with folks decorating their bisque pots for the giant pit fire. Loading of the pit will begin at 2-3 p.m. and we will light it off and begin the party at sunset, though guests may arrive any time after noon.

There will be a live band, barbeques for hot dogs and such, beer and wine, kilns and camp fires going , and generally lots of fun with fellow clay buds.

On Sunday morning, around 9:30-10 a.m. we will unearth the pit and unload the kilns. Bagels and hot beverages will be provided.

Attendance is limited to 140. Cost is a $15 per person donation. Advance registration is strongly advised as it is unlikely there will be any tickets available at the gate.

Registration can be made by email to: registrar@nottinghamarts.org, and mailing a check to Nottingham Arts along with the names of all attendees to: P.O. Box 460 San Marcos,CA 92079. No phone registration will be accepted.

Be sure to check out previous pit fires at our “past workshops” page and also on Andy Clifts web site: www.claystation.com

Nottingham Arts is located in San Marcos, CA, in north San Diego, County , 35 miles north of the NCECA conference site. Information on local accomodations, restrants can be linked from the bottom of this page.

Please note:
The pit fire is simply part of the post NCECA party. Availability of space for your bisque pot (s) is not part of the party donation and is not gaurenteed. We will try to get at least one pot in the pit for each person who wants it.

Due to the large number of attendees; we will not have on site parking. There is ample parking around the center.
