Slide Lecture: Friday March 17th, 7 pm

Carol and Richard Selfridge from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada demonstrated their methods for making illusionistic majolica vessels and constructed-woodfired functional pottery. They have been working collaboratively for over 25 years and workshop attendess saw how they join ideas in their artistic practice. They demonstated press mold making, throwing, surface treatments, and their "constructivist with ready-mades" building technique. They also showed all of their "tricks" about how to glaze, paint, and fire majolica.
